Job description: Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring a Trainer/Curriculum Developer to instruct and develop network systems operations for the Campaign Communications Field Training Unit. This position will be located in Biloxi, MS (Keesler AFB, MS) and will be an onsite position. Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, and implement technical product or system training programs for customers, and/or employees and field support personnel. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules. Receives information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to develop training programs; Prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; Develops course materials; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, demonstrations and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Prior technical subject matter knowledge and experience is required. Can administer tests. This may include military trainers.

  • Interacts with management, employees, and customers to gain knowledge of work conditions requiring technical training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies.
  • Outlines teaching and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
  • Trainers are expected to have technical expertise.
  • Continually revises lesson plans to ensure course content reflects product features, meets new training needs and keeps technical information up to date.
  • Facilitates the implementation of all training programs.
  • Monitors training costs to ensure that budget is not exceeded, and prepares budget reports to justify expenditures.

Qualifications:

Required skills and experience

6-9 years of high school (or equivalent experience)
Clearance: Secret Clearance

Dodi 8570 (second+)

Proficient in MS Office

Preferred Skills and Experience

Trainer Methods or Basic Trainer Course Certification

Instructional System Design Experience

Technical Writer Certificate

Salary range posted

The posted salary range, if referenced, reflects the expected range for this position at the beginning of employment, however, the base salary offered is based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience and numerous personal factors. May vary. Internal Equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, which will be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and GovCIO reserves the right to modify the base salary (as well as any other discretionary pay or compensation program) at any time, including based on individual performance, GovCIO or Reasons related to. individual department/team performance, and market factors. Posted salary range: USD $85,000.00 – USD $95,000.00/year.
