What you will do in this role:
- Source products from domestic/international sellers.
- Complete feasibility study for pricing on product lines.
- Help direct the design and development of domestic or foreign prototypes.
- Ensure thorough product testing and quality control on new products.
- Work with the photo and video team to create engaging images, videos and marketing assets.
- Need to forecast and balance inventory for general product sales, holiday sales, seasonal product sales.
- Maintain high quality products through product reviews, quizzes, warranty returns.
- Other duties as assigned.
How you will succeed in this role:
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience. Relevant industry certifications or coursework is a plus.
- Proven experience as a sourcing specialist or procurement professional with a strong understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier management and supply chain processes.
- In-depth knowledge of the powersports industry, including familiarity with powersports equipment, parts, accessories and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing agreements with suppliers and manufacturers to the powersports industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to analyze market data, evaluate supplier performance, and identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in sourcing and purchasing of software tools as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a commitment to achieving departmental goals and driving continuous improvement in the sourcing process within the powersports industry.
Physical Demands:Position performance will require the routine physical ability to walk and work at elevation changes, including means of self-propulsion to climb stairs, stairs and various walking and working surfaces. Ability to interact in a safe manner and conduct warehouse work areas. Vision abilities specific to the position will include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Performing this role will require the use of hands to use and handle tools, objects, materials, and controls. Performance requires the ability to frequently sit, talk, listen, stand, climb, balance, kneel, stoop or crawl.
